During Read Across America week at Pisgah students from Enka High School came read books, ate lunch, and had recess with students. Collaboration between Pisgah students and Enka High School promotes literacy, fosters community engagement, and create positive relationships between students from different schools. Encouraging high school students to read to younger children not only benefits the younger ones but also provides valuable leadership and mentorship opportunities for the high schoolers. This time further strengthens bonds and promotes social interaction among students of different age groups. This kind of inter-school collaboration enhances the overall educational experience and fosters a sense of camaraderie within the community.
