Community Resources

Change can be stressful for everyone. One way to combat stress can be to offer support and consistency. We wanted to give you information about support that we have in place for you and your child. 

Due to the recent school closure and virtual school days you may want to contact your child’s school counselor, Tara Mowrey and/or our school social worker, Autumn Rhymer. (please reach out via email or by calling the school).

You might want to reach out to us if….
Your child is anxious or worried 
You need additional support with food, housing, clothing, or other resources
Your child is showing signs of distress beyond what seems normal
You are feeling anxious or stressed and are unsure how to manage everything. If your child has mental health needs that cannot wait or is a danger to themselves or others, please call 911, mobile crisis (888-573-1006) or go to your local emergency room. 

Resources that might be helpful to you and your family during this time:

  • Call 211 - Community Resource for food, shelter, utilities etc…. 
  • Montmorenci Church:Every Thursday from 10-2 drive through for a food box.  (89 Old Candler Town Rd. Candler, NC 28715)
  • Follow this link and have the "drug card" sent to you via email or text. Use this at your local pharmacy to get substantial discounts on allergy medication. https://northcarolinadrugcard.com
