Letter From the Principal

Dear Parents,

The end of the school year is fast approaching and there will be lots of different activities going on along with the End of Grade testing. Please pay special attention to the calendar. Any updates or changes will be announced.

Wednesday, March 28th is the end of the grading period, and Friday, March 30thwill be an early dismissal.

April 2nd through April 6th is Spring Break.

I would like to say thank you to Chad and Kate Toler for volunteering to take our cans to Biltmore Iron & Metal. We received over $200 for the cans. Please keep sending those in. They certainly add up!

Due to our recent missed school days, we will be adding twenty minutes to the end of our school day in April. This will begin on Monday, April 9th. Dismissal will begin at 2:30 p.m. If your child rides an afternoon bus, please add this additional time to their usual arrival time. We will be using this extended time for math remediation and enrichment.

Report cards will come home on Friday, April 13th, and our First Annual Craft Fair and Car Show will be on Saturday, April 14th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. If you would like to rent a booth or bring your antique vehicle or hot rod, please call Dana Foster at 828- 989-8071. Please mark your calendars and join us for this wonderful event! We will have food concessions and a silent auction. All process will benefit Pisgah Elementary!

The Goodwill truck will be on campus from April 9th through April 20th. If you are doing some spring cleaning and would like to donate your items, please bring them to the school and place them in the truck. Pisgah will be given money based upon the weight of the donated items.

Some other important April dates to mark on your calendar are:

  • Book Fair-April 13th, 16th, and 17th
  • Awards program-April 18th 9:00 a.m.
  • K-2 Music Program-April 19th at 1:15 p.m.-performance for the school and 6:00 p.m.
